FC Hickombottom– Lifelong Educator, Writer, Storyteller.

FC Hickombottom brings a wide range of experience in children’s theater, content development for marketing videos, and writing short stories. Her writings were recognized as a finalist in the TECO Play Festival in Dallas, Texas. She was also a finalist in the Women of Color Unite, Screenwriting Contest in Los Angeles, California (2022)

 FC Hickombottom is a University of Nebraska graduate (Communications)with graduate courses at California State (San Bernardino) USC CE, and Capella University, (Instructional Design) Her writing experience has expanded over 20 years with completed works in short stories, and drama teaching at Sickle Cell Camp, published poetry, a young adult novel, screenplays, and a television pilot. FC is no stranger to the stage. She enjoyed singing in a funk/pop girl group, acting as an ensemble member in a way off-Broadway production of “CATS,” and making a show-stopping limited appearance on a cruise ship. She occasionally performs her thought-provoking poetry in open mic venues.

 FC Hickombottom continues to write short stories, post on her blog, and think pieces.

Currently, FC Hickombottom is working on completing her first Children’s book and a work in progress “One Remarkable Life,” a tribute to her mother. She resides in Mesquite, Texas with her husband Dx.
